V-Type Non-Intrusive Pipe Flow Monitoring

Jan 01, 2026 Leave a message

The V-type non-invasive design eliminates the need for pipe cutting or downtime, reducing installation time by up to 70% compared to online flow meters. Its dual-angle signal path minimizes interference from pipe wall irregularities, improving measurement accuracy by 3%–5%, making it ideal for wastewater, HVAC, and industrial water systems. The non-contact design prevents contamination and abrasion, extending sensor life to over 10 years, while its compact, weatherproof housing ensures reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C.

How to Installation with "V" method?

1.Surface Preparation: Wipe the pipe surface to remove dirt, rust, or debris to ensure optimal ultrasonic signal transmission. Gently sand any uneven areas to smooth the contact surface.

2.Sensor Installation: For pipes with diameters of 50–1000 mm, arrange two ultrasonic sensors in a V-shape. Secure them at a 45° angle to the axial centerline of the pipe, ensuring they are opposite each other against the pipe wall.

3.Secure Installation: Apply coupling compound between the sensors and the pipe to eliminate air gaps, then secure the sensors with stainless steel straps. Confirm they remain stable even under vibration.

4.Calibration: Turn on the flow meter and input the pipe material, diameter, and fluid characteristics. The device will automatically calibrate using the V-shaped signal path to ensure accuracy.
