Q: How do you mount a flow meter?
A:The flowmeter should be positioned on top of a horizontal pipe, and located along the pipe where 10 times the pipe diameter upstream and 5 tines the pipe diameter downstream of the flow meter provide no flow disturbances. There should be no pipe bends, fittings, or valves within these minimum distances.
Q: What is the difference between a flowmeter and a rotameter?
A: There is no distinction between a variable area flow meter, rotameter, or a flow meter, and these terms are interchangeable.
Q:How does a ultrasonic flow meter work?
A:The ultrasonic flow meter operates by alternately transmitting and receiving a burst of ultrasound between the two transducers by measuring the transit time that it takes for sound to travel between the two transducers in both directions.
