Q: Can this ultrasonic flow meter work with PVC pipes?
A: Absolutely! The D106E supports a wide range of pipe materials including PVC, carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper. Just make sure to enter the correct pipe material during setup for optimal accuracy..
Q: Do I need to cut the pipe to install this flow meter?
A: No pipe cutting, no downtime! Our ultrasonic flow meters are clamp-on type, which means they install externally and start measuring instantly-perfect for retrofits or sensitive systems.
Q: Can it be used for both hot and cold water?
A: Yes, the D106E is designed for water temperatures from 0°C to 60°C at the sensor, making it ideal for chilled water, hot water, and even HVAC systems.
Q: How do I reset the positive totalizer back to zero?
A: Go to window M47, unlock the unit with the 6-digit password, then enter M37, select "POS Totalizer Reset" (or "All") and press ENTER. Power-off records, ESN and calibration data are not affected.
Q: Is it possible to extend the transducer cable to 30 m?
A: The standard length is 5 m; you may extend up to 50 m with shielded twisted-pair (≥ 0.5 mm²). After extending, perform a static zero calibration (M42) while the line is full and flow is at rest.
